Important Dates: September 8: Most Important Meeting at 7:00 PM for all parents in the PLC. Registration will be held, as well as valuable information given regarding the program for 2010-2011. September 19: OPEN HOUSE on Catechetical Sunday after the 9:00 Mass for all parishioners to come and see the facility September 22: First day of classes Grades K,2,5, & 7, 6:45-8:00 PM September 26: First day of classes Grades 1,3,4,6 & 8, 10:00-11:15 AM | |
Sunday Preschool for 3 and 4 year olds Don’t miss out. Your child can attend our Sunday Preschool which is held each Sunday during the 10:00 AM Mass on Deering Road, starting Sep-tember 19. The children are taught with the Seeds program, a very popu-lar program. They will learn about the Scripture readings of the day, as well as sing songs and pray together. Call Kristen Tinnell, 935-7250, to register your child. Registration fee is $10.00. |

Are you, or anyone you know, interested in learning more about becoming Catholic? Weekly Sessions are held on Tuesdays 7:00-8:30 PM RCIA is the process the Catholic Church uses to initiate new members. Weekly Inquiry sessions will be held on the Columbine campus in the (newly named) Faith Formation Center, formerly the daycare. The process welcomes adults, teens and children over the age of reason (7) and introduces them to Jesus and the sacraments of the Church. When ready, we prepare for the reception of the sacraments of initiation. If you are in-terested, please call Cathy Blandford, 937-5920, ext. 17. |

2nd ANNUAL KOINONIA RETREAT NOVEMBER 5-7 Fall is quickly approaching, and for some the season itself speaks of slowing down and finding time for reflection and spirituality. Mark your calendar for the 2nd annual Koinonia Retreat. This retreat is for everyone over the age of 18. It begins on Friday night and ends on Sunday afternoon; participants do not stay all night, but travel back to their homes and families each night. |
ARCHDIOCESAN CATECHETICAL CONFERENCE AND 2ND ANNUAL FAITH FORMATION CELEBRATION September 17th – 18th The celebration begins with Mass at 7:00 PM at St Lawrence Church on Friday evening, with Archbishop Kurtz presiding, followed by awards, recognition and a light recep-tion. Saturday at the Flaget Center (9:00-3:00 PM) will consist of a presentation by author/speaker Daniel S. Mulhall. “Building Strong Catholic Marriages” focusing on this year’s Catechetical Sunday theme “Matrimony: Sacrament of Enduring Love”. Im-mediately following the presentation will be a selection of practical breakouts for catechesis with families and specific age learners.
