Building Our Future of Hope

Dear Parishoners,

As summer fades into the revitalizing cool air of fall, St. Peter the Apostle is moving into the second phase of our Building the Future of Hope Capital Campaign.  It is the time to renew our efforts into building our future.  Building the future for the generations that will follow in our footsteps of a strong and faithful St. Peter the Apostle Catholic family of Southwest Jefferson County.

Megan Clark, a young and vibrant college student and a burst of youthful energy in our parish was talking with her parents about the campaign and their family gift.  Megan told her parents that she was going to provide her own gift to the campaign.  “Why?” her parents asked.  "Because, St. Peter the Apostle is my future.    The future I am building for my family.  I want to be a part of this."  Megan completed her pledge card and proudly provided it as a statement that she is committed to her Catholic heritage and her future.

With the generosity of 33% of our parish families we have been able to raise $1.1 million along with numerous prayers for the success of our Building the Future of Hope Capital Campaign.

The goal of St. Peter the Apostle is to have 100% of families participate in the Building the Future of Hope Capital Campaign.  I believe that through prayer our future is possible.   As I have said countless times, this campaign is not about equal gifts, it is about equal sacrifices.  It is through your prayerful consideration that your family will need to determine that sacrifice, the gift.

Pledge cards are available from the Parish Office and at each worship location, please take the time to pray and ask God, “What is the gift I can give?”   Our goal is to have 100% participation from our families.  A gift of prayer or a monetary contribution can be listed on the pledge card.  Your gift of prayer will provide the support and strength needed for St. Peter the Apostle Parish to accomplish our goal.  As a contributing member to our parish, I am assured that your family will want to provide a gift of prayer and if possible a monetary contribution for our future.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please contact Anne-Marie Hogan 502-937-5920 ext 13  ahogan@saintpeterapostle.org.    She will be glad to answer any questions you have on the campaign.

With Christ Blessing,
