As many of you may know, Fr. Ron is having surgery on his knee on August 2 and will be incapacitated for a few weeks. The weekend Masses will be covered by visiting priests, but the daily Masses will change. The week of August 2-6 Fr. Pablo will have morning Mass at Columbine at 8:00 am, with no Mass on Thursday morning . There will be no daily Mass at the Deering Road site this week. The week of August 9-13 Fr. Pablo will have a morning Mass on Monday, 8:00 am at Columbine with the balance of the week being at Deering Road, except for Thursday when there will be no Mass at either location. Please read your bulletin very carefully as there could be changes. Fr. Ron asks that you keep him in your prayers and as soon as he is able, he will be back saying Mass. If you wish to send him a Get Well card, you can send it in care of the office:

Are you, or anyone you know, interested in learning more about becoming Catholic?

An Information Session will be held on Thursday, August 5, 7:00-8:00 PM,  on Johnsontown Road in the Parish Ministry Center, that will explain the process of  initiation called RCIA, and attempt to answer any questions you may have.   RCIA, or  The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the process the church uses to  welcome new members.

If you are Catholic, but have been away from the Church for awhile and are looking for a way to get reacquainted, this meeting might be helpful to you, too.

This session will also be of interest to those who might be considering joining the RCIA Team.  This Team consists of parishioners who are willing to walk through the entire process with the candidates and catechumens, giving moral support, offering a listening ear and providing hospitality each week.
