SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION TEAMS
Adults interested in helping with the preparation of members for the celebration of Baptism, Confirmation, 1st Eucharist, Reconciliation or Marriage, as well as continuing contact with them.
FAITH FORMATION COMMITTEE
This group of parishioners gathers to plan and guide the faith formation efforts of St. Peter the Apostle parish. All age-levels of faith formation are included.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Summer program that is held in late June or early July. Each year the theme is Scripture based, and the target audience is inter-generational, which means that all ages are invited to come and learn more about Jesus, faith and Scripture while at the same time having fun and participating in arts, crafts, music and special prayer time.
PARISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM (RE)
For children in public schools or other private schools, grades K-8. the Parish Religious Education Program is offered on Sunday mornings, 9:30 – 11:00am. Classes are held at St. Peter the Apostle church on Johnsontown Road.
RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (RCIA) (also adapted for children)
The process the Roman Catholic Church uses to initiate new members, both adults and children over the age of reason (7). Participants are prepared to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion. Sessions are held on Tuesday evening, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m at St Peter the Apostle Church.
RETREATS
Some retreats last a day, some several days and nights, but all retreats offer a time to get away from your busy, everyday life in order to deepen your relationship with God.
SCRIPTURE STUDY GROUPS
Dedicated to the study of Sacred Scripture. Two current groups: One evening group meets Monday at 7:30 p.m. and one daytime group meets on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
